Did you know that Dwayne lived in 38 of the 51 states in America! The Rock was born on May 2, 1972 at Hayward, California, but he spent most of his life in Beverly Hills, California. The rock's parents are Rocky Johnson who was an actor and a pro wrestler, and Ata Johnson who was an actress, some other family members of Dwane's are Curtis Bowles and Wanda Bowles. The Rock went to many different schools when he was younger, such as Montclaire Elementary, Sheperd Glen Elementary School, Hamden Middle School, Freedom High School, McGavok High School, President William McKinley High School, and University of Miami. The Rock's Father (Rocky) was a big rolemodel for him when he was younger, Rocky showed him how to lift weights properly and showed him how to wrestle, in fact that is why the Rock started his wrestling career and his father is also why he adopted the name "The Rock" after his father "Rocky". The Rock's first career was his wrestling career, he started out in the USWA with the name "Flex Kavanah" where he won a tag-team championship with Brett Sawyer, then in 1996 he joined the WWE and got his signature name "The Rock." The Rock is married to Lauren Hashian, with 3 kids; Simone Alexandra Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Tia Giana Johnson. His wrestling career in the WWE and the WWF led to his mainstream popularity and skyrocketed his fame.
